Sara Lee (b. 2000, Guangzhou China) is an artist, photographer and filmmaker based in New York City. Lee received her B.F.A. degree in photography and video, and M.P.S. degree in fashion photography at School of Visual Arts, NYC. Her works always addresses conflicts between subject matters and the environment they are placed. She aims to balance still life and portraiture in her fashion works. She often gains her inspiration from Cantonese culture and daily life objects she found randomly on streets and stores.
In 2019, she made her first milestone as an asian female photographer to shoot NYFW. The following years, her works were featured on ICONIC Artist Magazine, Italia Vogue, Contributor Magazine, Nasty Magazine, Rebel Magazine, 17:23 Magazine, Roll Up Magazine, Vanguard Magazine, Foreign Look Magazine, MARIKA Magazine, ESTI Mag, etc.
Besides photography, Lee also works with other art forms, such as ceramics, silkscreen Calligraphy and Chinese traditional painting(landscape and Mogu, Claborate-style). After the study of photography, she aims to explore more opportunities and visual expressions between photography and the other art forms.
